An Afternoon at the Tidepools

Last Monday we took the kids on a fieldtrip to the tidepools in Orange County. They were interested in looking for little fishies and anenomes for about 5 minutes. Since it was a cool day, we didn't think about swimming at the beach, so we didn't bring swimsuits for the kids. We should have known better. All the kids got in and got wet and only Beebe had the foresight to bring Conrad a change of clothes. The others went home in their skivies. Here are photos of that fun afternoon:

Wedding Festivities

Yes, I know it's Easter morning and you really wanted pictures of my kids searching for Easter eggs. First things first. I'm a week behind and really you'd rather see my life chronologically, right? So. Last weekend.

Katie and Ryan got married! But, Oops!, I forgot to get any pictures of them together. Instead, you get candid photos that I took in between the professional shots.

Oh, there's Ryan!

The most un-exciting blog post ever

I'm sitting here trying to remember what happened last week so I can keep this blog up-to-date. I'm not remembering a whole lot.

I worked a lot on my dress for Katie & Ryan's wedding. It's this Friday and I'm finally done with it. YAY!

I went to 3 different Cub Scout meetings last week. The good news is we just had a new Cubmaster and Cub Committee Chair called on Sunday, so I won't have to do so much anymore. More help is always good.

I cleaned up the backyard. The boys discovered the fun of mud this winter. Fun, but messy, messy, messy. But we dried out last week and no rain is expected for a while, so we made the yard playable again.

And really, I think that's it. No cute stories from Edie or Evan. The big boys didn't do anything out of the ordinary. But we leave on Thursday for the Big Day on Friday, so next posting is sure to be more readable than this one!

Just a Quick Trip

Beebe and I came back yesterday from a quick trip to San Bernardino. Without kids! Well, mostly. Evan came, but he's so easy compared to all of the crazies, that I count it as kid-free. When I asked Pie at the airport how his weekend was, he reported that everything was fine, but dealing with the ADHD (Drew), OCD (Edie) and Passive Agressive (Dean) all day, every day is exhausting. He had no idea. It's nice to be missed. BTW, none of those are official diagnoses. He's kidding. Kind of.

My weekend was great. Katie and Ryan went to the temple Friday, and lots of us were able to be there for that. And Katie's bridal shower was Saturday, that was fun. We also went and saw Karin & Bryan's house on Saturday and helped unpack a little. I hope she posts pictures of it. It's a great house.
