Gracie & Her Admirers

Here is my adorable little niece. Baby Grace and her big brover Conrad came to hang out yesterday while their mama took a much needed nap. Heck, after 2 hours with Con, I wanted a nap! He is so full of energy! But he would sit still for photos, and hovered near when it was someone else's turn to hold her, making sure everyone knew that "No! He's my baby!" I think Grace appreciates his attentiveness, she's practically smiling in this first photo!

OK, Tyler and Grace aren't exactly related, but close enough.

Big Brover and Little Sitter

Edie is beside herself with joy because it's her turn to hold the baby.Evan was not aloud to touch "Baby Dase" yesterday because he was covered in snot and cheez (from Cheetos)

Karin, I hope you come next week and bring Baby Isaac so I can get cute cousin photos with him, too!

Random Pictures

I don't have much this week. But I got out the camera a few times recently:

We went to the pool last week with Conrad when it was warmer. That kid has no fear. He would run and jump into the water, fully confident that his floaties would bring him back up for air. It was a bit of a change for me 'cause my kids are such chickens. (Don't tell them I said that!)

Dean after his Spring Performance at school on Friday. School will be over soon and I'll be glad to have more free time with the kids. You know, until about June 20th, then I'll be wishing for school again!!

Evan woke up with a faux-hawk this morning. Had to preserve that image for future generations!

The dining room just got prettier

For my birthday, Mother's Day, and out of great necessity, I got a new table.
Do you like it? It's from Scandanavian Designs, sits 6 comfortably and extends to fit 8-10! I can't believe how grown up I feel that I own a table with leaves.

I got it a week ago, but it's been sitting in the garage while I've been adding a few (6!) extra layers of polyurethane. Because I'm very aware that this table has got to last until the kids are out of the house. A little extra protection so I don't have to freak out whenever someone spills their water at dinner. I'm also already looking for fabric to recover the chairs. White won't last, I know.

I've also been filling up the last few days with this book. I love it. Highly recommend it. It's about body-snatching aliens. Read it anyway.

Happy Mother's Day!

This was my traditional smiley face breakfast my cute kids brought in to wake me up with this morning.

I hope your day is just as delicious!

Productive Morning

I got so much done this morning before my kids left for school at 8:00.
*Dishes from the dishwasher put away, kids got breakfast and those dishes were done.
*I made 2 lunches.
*I fixed Edie's new skirt by making the waist smaller, of course, so she could wear it to preschool today.
*I showered and dried my hair.
*Had a quick 5 minute scripture time before the neighbor arrived to get the boys.
And then I noticed Evan wasn't around. Hmmmmm....That's not good. Here's what I found:
It came off okay, just a slight blueish tint to the wall in the boys's room.

Will I never learn?
