The Bright Side

I'm trying to find the good in this morning's "adventures". This is what I've come up with:

It's a good thing that I procrastinated cleaning the bathroom yesterday. Because if I had cleaned it and then found Evan crying in there after he had completely missed the toilet, surrounded by poopy footprints, poo all down his legs and IN BETWEEN HIS TOES, then I would have been really mad, instead of just grossed out. The bathroom needed a good scrubing anyway.

(I almost took a picture and then decided it was too explicit for this G-rated blog!)

Edie's first tooth is out!

She loves the fact that her brothers didn't lose any teeth until they were in first grade, but she lost hers in kindergarten! It was only loose for a few days, and I thought it would be a while before we needed a visit from the tooth fairy. But yesterday she just decided to do it and pulled it out all by herself. Lots of blood, but she wasn't fazed at all. That's my girl!

My Favorite Presidential Canidate

I'm not a big fan of voting. Not because I don't appreciate democracy or the freedom to choose our leaders. In fact, I actually like choosing local leaders. We're lucky enough to know some in our area. But the state and federal canidates stink. When I vote (and I do, every election) I feel like I'm trying to choose the least bad canidate.... But, I digress. That's not really what I turned on the computer to blog about.

We had an election on Friday. And although I wasn't qualified to vote in it, I totally would have voted for this canidate if I was:(I apologize for the crappiness of the photo. My little point & shoot just doesn't cut it from the back of the multi-purpose room.)

He gave a great speech. He started out by taking the speech out of his pocket. "Hello citizens of America! I'm Drew Fardanesh and I'm running for President of the United...oh. wait. other pocket..." And then he took another speech out of his other pocket and did the real one. The audience loved it!

It's his second attempt at President. In the fall election, his good buddy won. He's worried about the girl vote and worried that the "Drew for Prez" bubbles he handed out after school on Thursday weren't good enough. (There was a girl passing out t-shirts. Serious.)

The results will be announced tomorrow morning. I hope we hear "Drew for Prez!"
